The implementation of the project for development of the “Yoshlik I” deposit, recognized as the project of the century, and the construction of large industrial facilities within its implementation, such as copper processing plant No. 3, became the basis for the launch of new enterprises and the introduction of new capacities. In turn, this laid the foundation for the creation of additional jobs. During the construction of the plant in Almalyk and in the territories of the adjacent areas, a number of new enterprises were built. In particular, with the assistance of AMMC, based on the "take in tow" system, the activities of “Almalyk Foundry and Mechanical Plant” LLC were established. This mechanism for supporting large enterprises of business entities in the development of new types of import-substituting products in the form of developing and providing design and process documentation, providing technical consulting and practical assistance, as well as jointly bringing the quality of products to the required level, immediately justified itself.

“Almalyk Foundry and Mechanical Plant” LLC commissioned in 2022 produced foundry products worth 68 billion UZS in the first 7 months of this year.

As the Chief Engineer of this enterprise, Maksud ESHBOEV, said, this year the enterprise has mastered the production of a number of import-substituting goods.

For example, the enterprise, in cooperation with AMMC specialists, has launched the production of parts for the front wall of the EKG-15 excavator bucket used in the plant's mines based on the Localization Program.

Currently, the enterprise produces more than 50 types of spare parts and components for mining equipment, and in 2025, the production of about 20 types of import-substituting products was mastered. Moreover, more than 10 of them were not previously produced in Uzbekistan. For example, this year, the production of kingpin beams for 2VS-105 railway dump cars and internal pump housings was launched. All products manufactured by the enterprise are supplied to AMMC.

Speaking about the enterprise headed by him, Husein SHIRINOV noted that, according to the memorandum signed with AMMC in 2022, the enterprise's activities were established on the basis of the "take in tow" system. And if at first products were produced for 5-10 billion UZS, now the production volume has increased almost 7 times. The effective "traction" system of AMMC plays an important role in the development of the enterprise. In the first years of the enterprise's existence, with the assistance of the Combine, the staff were preparing for work, learning professions and specialties. Products manufactured at the enterprise within the framework of the Localization Program replace imported supplies. The installation this year of new energy-saving technological equipment and thermal furnaces received from Korea ensured high efficiency. Now, at the enterprise, thanks to the new equipment, the technological process from raw materials to finished products is effectively carried out. It should be especially noted that the positive aspect of organizing this production was not only the release of localized products, but also the creation of 170 new jobs. In the future, it is planned to expand the activities of the enterprise and master the production of new types of products.
