10 June 2026, 8:48 508

Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex is consistently developing strategic and mutually beneficial cooperation with leading international higher education institutions.

On June 9th of this year, a representative delegation visited the Complex, including experts and representatives from prestigious universities in the People's Republic of China and Italy, including the world-renowned University of Pisa, Chengdu University of Technology, and the China University of Geosciences. During the visit, the guests expressed great interest in the integration of education and production, which is being successfully implemented at AMMC.

The first item on the agenda was an introduction to the Complex modern personnel training system. The delegation visited the training center and engineering school, where they highly praised the conditions created for the training and professional development of young specialists and workers.

Then, the foreign guests visited the observation platforms of the “Qalmaqir” and “Yoshlik I” mines. They learned about the scale of mining operations, modern technological processes, and the operation of high-performance mining equipment.

Representatives from foreign universities were also greatly impressed by the clubs and creative groups at the “Metallurg” Palace of Culture, as well as the exhibits at the plant's historical museum.

The visit was not limited to an introductory program. Foreign scientists and experts conducted a series of practical seminars and training sessions for AMMC specialists, engineers, and geologists, covering the most relevant and promising areas of geology and mineralogy.

The meetings included a meaningful exchange of experiences on the development of the mining industry. Participants discussed the implementation of digital technologies in production processes, modern approaches to deposit development and industrial safety, and prospects for joint scientific and educational projects.

It is no exaggeration to say that this visit marked another important step toward integrating Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex into the global scientific community, as well as effectively implementing advanced international practices in the fields of production, science, and education.

Ulugbek Igamberdiev,
Lead Engineer of the training center
