+998 71 619 23 33At the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex, significant work is being carried out on the use of alternative energy sources and the conservation of energy resources.
For example, a hydroturbine generator with a capacity of 30 kW/h has been installed in the Tanachi -Buka channel, which passes through the territory of the railway shop No. 3 of the industrial railway transport department. The electricity generated by this device covers 60% of the total electricity demand of the administrative and household building of the railway shop No. 3.
The operating principle of a hydro turbine generator is quite simple. The flow of water sets the blades of the hydro turbine in motion. As it rotates, the water transfers its kinetic energy through the gearbox to the generator, which converts it into electrical energy. The generated electrical energy is fed into the network or used to power various devices. The advantage of this device is its environmental friendliness: hydro turbine generators do not produce harmful emissions into the atmosphere and do not use fossil fuels.
As a result of the implementation of this project, electricity savings will amount to 7.2 million soums per month, 86.0 million soums per year.
This innovation is a striking example of the work being carried out at AMMC as part of the transition to a “green economy”.
