This year, the greatest and most precious holiday for our people – the 35^th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan – is widely celebrated throughout the country under the noble slogan: “Uniting Motherland, Uniting People, We Shall Build a New Life, a New Future!”

To honor this significant date, a large celebratory event was held on August 24 at the sports complex of the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex.

Speaking at the ceremony, Senator Abdulla Khursanov, Chairman of the Board of “Almalyk MMC” JSC, sincerely congratulated everyone on Independence Day. He particularly emphasized that the large-scale reforms being implemented in the country under the leadership of the esteemed President are based on the noble goal of elevating human dignity and ensuring the well-being of the people. It was noted that the large strategic investment projects being implemented at the enterprise, the modernization of production facilities, and the stability policy pursued in the country serve as important factors for further economic growth.

The mayor of Almalyk town, Barkhayot Meliev, also addressed congratulations to the participants of the event.

During the celebration, employees of the Complex and representatives of Almalyk enterprises and organizations were recognized and awarded state awards in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan in honor of the holiday.

In addition, a group of the plant’s leading workers were ceremoniously presented with the “Miner’s Glory” badges of various degrees.

The artistic compositions prepared by the creative team of the Metallurg Palace of Culture aroused great interest among the audience. Particularly impressive was the stage performance dedicated to the image of the great commander and statesman Amir Temur, masterfully performed by employees of the Tashkent Regional Directorate of the National Guard, as well as the ceremonial military march with the participation of employees of the internal affairs agencies, emergency response units, the departmental paramilitary security of the AMMC, and students of the “Temurbeklar Maktabi” School.

An integral part of the festive program was shows by the Complex athletes and promising young athletes in various sports disciplines. Their skill and spectacular performances gave the event participants even more positive emotions and created a truly festive atmosphere.

The catching songs of Honored Artist of Uzbekistan Ozoda Nursaidova and renowned pop singer Mirjalol Nematov captivated the audience, and their performances were met with thunderous applause.

As per tradition, the festive event ended with a colorful fireworks display.
