08 May 2025, 8:22 1457

Large-scale industrial projects aimed at increasing the production of precious metals and efficient use of natural resources are being implemented in Uzbekistan. One of such significant projects was the construction of a new gold recovery plant "Kauldy" of Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex  (AMMC).

The enterprise will process ore mined at the Kauldy and Kuyi-Kenzhasoy deposits. It is planned that precious metals will be extracted from 200 thousand tons of raw materials annually.

Construction began in February of this year, and the work is planned to be completed and the facility commissioned in the fourth quarter of 2025. According to Dilorom Pardaeva, Lead Engineer of the Capital Construction Department of AMMC, Olmalikmetallurgkurilish Trust is engaged in the construction of the facility. The construction site has already been prepared, the foundations of administrative buildings have been poured, 54 reinforced concrete columns have been installed, and 530 partitions of the production building have been assembled.

At the second stage of construction, the main technological equipment will be installed – mills, hydrocyclones and classifiers. It is manufactured by the central repair and mechanical plant within the framework of the Localization Program. At present, two mills, two hydrocyclones and a number of spare parts are ready.

It is worth noting that the construction is carried out exclusively by the forces and specialists of the plant itself. Reinforced concrete structures are also manufactured at Olmalikmetallurgqurilish Trust's own facilities.

As a result of the launch of the new factory, 151 new jobs will be created. This will be the third such enterprise of the plant after the factories in Angren and Chadak.
