At the initiative of the Council for Spirituality and Education of the AMMC, a series of spiritual and educational events aimed at strengthening of the social consciousness and civic responsibility of the workforce continues at the Complex divisions.

The latest meeting was organized for employees of the copper smelter and copper concentrator. It focused on explanation of the key provisions of the Address of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Oliy Majlis and the Nation, as well as the objectives identified at the expanded meeting of the Security Council, held on January 13 current year and chaired by Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the President and Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.

The event was attended by prominent figures from the creative and public spheres: poet Muhammad Siddik, head of the propaganda department of the Writers’ Union of Uzbekistan; poet Shodmonkul Salom, member of the Writers’ Union; Rakhmatilla Sheraliev, chairman of the Union of Journalists of Tashkent region; Lobar Jalilova, head of the press service of the Tashkent Region Department of Ecology; Saidali Rakhmonov - Hero of Uzbekistan; as well as teachers and young scientists from the Almalyk State Technical Institute Sardor Doniev and Bobur Juraev.

The speakers noted that the President’s Address provides a strategic framework for the country’s development through 2026. It outlines priority objectives encompassing both economic sustainability and social transformation, and outlines the initiatives being implemented within the framework of 2026 - the Year of Mahalla and Society Development.

It was emphasized that Uzbekistan economy is demonstrating robust growth: the gross domestic product has exceeded $145 billion for the first time, exports have increased by 23%, reaching to $33.4 billion, and the country’s gold and foreign exchange reserves have exceeded $60 billion for the first time in history. The significant role of the AMMC workforce in achievement of these indicators was particularly noted.

The dedicated work of the Complex employees contributes to strengthening the country’s economic strength, and the launch of the Yoshlik I mine and new concentrators opens new prospects for enhancing Uzbekistan’s position in the global copper market.

During the meeting, special attention was paid to countering information threats and the need to maintain constant vigilance. Amid growing geopolitical tensions around the world, peace and stability in Uzbekistan were rightfully considered the highest value, requiring responsibility, awareness, and gratitude from every citizen.

Poetic and literary performances by guests added a special atmosphere to the event, making it not only meaningful but also truly memorable.

During the event, Ravshan Siddikov, Director of the Copper Concentrator, and Bakhtiyor Vakkosov, Director of the Copper Smelter, delivered speeches. They detailed the priority objectives outlined in the Address of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Oliy Majlis and the people of the country. In their speeches, the leaders emphasized that the successful implementation of these strategic goals directly depends on the sense of responsibility of each employee. Improvement of production efficiency, meeting of planned targets, and achieving of sustainable development are only possible with the cohesion of work teams, their initiative, and active participation in the common cause.

During the visit, the participants also visited a military unit of the Command for the Protection of Classified Facilities of the Ministry of Defense of Uzbekistan, whose personnel provide security for strategically important facilities within the Copper Complex of the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex. They were particularly impressed by the modern educational building, constructed with the support of the Complex. The conditions created there for theoretical and practical training were noted as a clear example of effective and strong cooperation between an industrial enterprise and a military unit.

Caring for those who guard the security of strategic facilities contributes not only to reliable protection but also to maintenance of peace and tranquility in the country.
