On July 9, 2024, a meeting with the participation of heads of the central office, organizations subordinate to the Ministry, enterprises and joint-stock companies was held at the Ministry of Mining and Geology of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

At the meeting, it was noted that pursuant to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as part of the Research and Production Association “Rare Metals and Hard Alloys” under the Almalyk MMC JSC, the Uzbek Process Metals Plant JSC was created; the effective use of existing reserves of metal raw materials, such as lithium, graphite, tungsten, tantalum-niobium, magnesium, their deep processing, increasing the range of products from the current 15 to 48 had been determined as the important tasks of the plant.

Abdullaev Farhad Ravshanovich, who has extensive experience in the metallurgical industry, previously held the position of khokim of the Uchtepa district of the city of Tashkent and appointed to the position of chairman of the board of the plant, introduced to the staff of the Ministry.
