The Poland delegation visited AMMC

In recent years, the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex has attracted increasing attention from foreign countries interested in establishing mutually beneficial partnerships.

On February 24, 2025, a delegation from Poland headed by Michal Jaros, State Secretary of the Ministry of Development and Technology of Poland, arrived on a visit to the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex. The guests expressed their interest in future cooperation with the complex.

During the visit, the Polish representatives visited the Metallurg Palace of Culture, where they got acquainted with the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex Museum. The next stops were the observation deck of the “Kalmakyr” mine and the Copper Concentrator-3 under construction, where the delegation received detailed information about the production capacities of the complex.

During the official meeting of the AMMC management and the Polish delegation, negotiations were held on the possible establishment of bilateral cooperation.

Particular attention was paid to the prospects for joint work in the field of new and strategic raw materials between the complex and the large Polish company KGHM Polska Miedź S.A.

After discussing issues of future cooperation, the parties came to an agreement to continue working together.
