A tactical exercise on the topic of “Actions of the facility’s management and civil defense structures in natural and man-made emergencies” was held at the AMMC explosives material plant (EMP).

According to the exercise scenario, a fire occurred at the plant’s administrative and domestic building. The reconnaissance unit was tasked with assessing the scale of the incident. During the inspection, damage to the electrical and water supply networks was discovered. It was also established that two workers were injured. The fire was quickly extinguished by volunteer firefighters together with the complex’s fire safety department. The rescue team provided first aid to the victims and handed them over to the medical center staff. The AMMC civil defense team evacuated the victims from the second floor who were injured as a result of the earthquake. The National Guard staff provided security for the plant’s perimeter. The emergency repair team restored the damaged electrical networks and water supply. The evacuation team organized the departure of vehicles, as well as the evacuation of workers, documents and material assets from the administrative building.

Following the training, the victims were evacuated from the danger zone by ambulance, and valuable property and documents were successfully removed.

The actions of all units and services were analyzed and assessed upon completion of the training.
