Independence is a solid foundation for a free and prosperous life for our people, peace, sustainable development, and a bright future for the country. Over the past 35 years, Uzbekistan has achieved significant success in all areas. Particularly in recent years, large-scale reforms initiated by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan have propelled industrial sectors to a qualitatively new level of development.

The mining industry, as one of the fundamental sectors of the country's economy, plays a vital role in this development process. The “Qalmaqqir” Mine Administration team, thanks to their many years of experience, high responsibility, and dedicated work, makes a worthy contribution not only to the development of the enterprise but also to strengthening the economic potential of the entire republic.

Development of the Qalmaqqir deposit began in 1954, and the first ore was mined in 1959. Since independence, the “Qalmaqqir” Mine Administration has achieved even higher production results. In particular, in 2010, the total volume of ore mined since the deposit's inception reached 1 billion tons. Furthermore, in 2012, annual ore production reached 30 million tons, and in 2023, it will reach 35 million tons.

Today, the mine administration is consistently implementing measures to modernize production processes, introduce modern mining equipment and digital technologies, improve production efficiency, and further enhance its occupational safety system. The use of innovative approaches and the rational use of available resources enable high production performance.

In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated 1 March 2017, the investment project was launched to develop the “Yoshlik I” deposit. The total area of ​​the deposit is 11,000 hectares. The implementation of this project has enabled Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex to significantly increase production capacity and substantially expand its raw material base. The total cost of the project has been increased compared to the initial stages, and today the volume of investments being developed exceeds US$5 billion.

The commissioning of this deposit will increase the Complex ore production by millions of tons per year and further strengthen Uzbekistan's position in the global export market for base and precious metals. As part of the project, modern heavy mining machines from leading global manufacturers were acquired and commissioned, including one EKG-25KM excavator, fourteen EKG-20K excavators, fifteen EKG-15M excavators, twenty-three modern drilling rigs, and other mining and transport equipment.

In recent years, the mine administration has also carried out extensive work to automate its production management system. In particular, a modern control center was commissioned, integrating excavator, heavy-duty truck, and rail transport operations into a single information network. This marked an important step in ensuring the continuity, efficiency, and safety of production processes.

The successful fulfillment of production plans, adoption of new technologies, the continuous improvement of technical and economic indicators, and the growth of labor productivity are the result of the dedicated work of the company's team. Behind every success are the miners' hard work, dedication to their profession, and profound responsibility for the prosperity of their homeland.

At the “Qalmaqqir” Mine Administration, people always remain the most valuable asset. Systematic efforts are underway to create safe and comfortable working conditions, strengthen employee social protection, improve their qualifications, support young professionals, and promote a healthy lifestyle.

Significant results have also been achieved in working with young people. Particular attention is paid to supporting talented and proactive young workers, developing their professional knowledge and skills, and regularly holding spiritual, educational, sports, and intellectual events. Thanks to professional skills competitions and talent development programs organized by the Mine Administration’s Youth Union Council, many talented young professionals have become engineering and technical workers, and a significant number have been recommended for management positions.

Ensuring environmental sustainability, the rational use of natural resources, environmental protection, and the widespread implementation of "green economy" principles are also an important part of the enterprise’s long-term development strategy.

It is especially worth noting that the company's team includes, and has included for many years, people who have made a significant contribution to the development of the mine and were awarded high state awards during the years of independence. This is a source of common pride for us. Among them are Heroes of Uzbekistan Jonsaid Turdiev and Saidali Rahmonov; holders of the honorary title "Honored Worker of Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan" Valery Prikhodko and Renat Nasirov; holders of the "Mehnat Shuhrati" Order Viktor Ramme, Habibulla Almatov, Erali Kasymov, and Sobirali Imanov; and the "Dustlik" Order – Shakirbek Abduvaitov and Leonid Kim; and also those awarded the “Shukhrat” medal: Abdimahkam Malikov, Tashpulat Ernazarov, Abdumalik Tursunov, Abdunabi Jalilov, Abduhamid Mirzayev, Mirahmat Saparov, Abdukodir Kambarov, Khairulla Aldiyarov and many others, whose many years of conscientious work, dedication to the profession and contribution to the development of our country are truly priceless.

We face even greater challenges. I am confident that the united and dedicated team of the mine administration, supported by their extensive experience, high professional potential, and unity, will continue to conquer new heights. Every employee of our enterprise will continue to make a worthy contribution to the development of the New Uzbekistan through their honest work.
