On 26 November, a delegation led by Helen Clark, Chair of the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI), visited AMMC to become acquainted with the enterprise’s operations.
Accompanied by Abdulla Khursanov, Chairman of the Management Board of the AMMC, the guests first toured the technological production processes at the Kalmakyr Mine – one of the largest quarry mines in the world.
The delegation also visited the newly developed “Yoshli I” mine, launched as part of the “Development of the Yoshlik I Mine” investment project, which left a strong impression on the visitors.
Their next destination was the sanatorium-preventorium reconstructed with AMMC sponsorship, where the guests were introduced to the conditions created for employees’ recovery and health improvement.
The recently commissioned 3rd Copper Concentrator Plant, a major component of the mega-project, also sparked great interest among the delegation due to its production capacity and modern technological processes.
The guests then visited the “Metallurg” Palace of Culture and toured the museum exhibits.
During the meeting, AMMC and EITI representatives discussed prospects for enhancing bilateral cooperation and agreed to further strengthen their partnership.
