+998 71 619 23 33...This time, the fortune turned away. The teams he'd backed yesterday lost. But there were new matches today. The day before, he'd taken a risk and borrowed a large loan. That wasn't enough – he'd borrowed money from friends as well. Today, he'd definitely win it all back, recoup everything he'd lost, and prove to everyone he'd been right.
He was already imagining things in his mind: the teams he relied on were winning, a large win was coming into his account, his debts were paid off, and his dreams were coming true one after another. He couldn't help a smile.
But things turned out differently.
The money was gone. A huge sum vanished in a matter of hours. Instead of an easy life, there was a debt trap; instead of hope, there was bitter disappointment. He was sitting there, unsure what to do next. Life seemed meaningless, and the only way out seemed to be escaping the looming problems at any cost. At that moment, he no longer thought about his loved ones or about the fact that human life is the greatest treasure. Gambling ruined his life...
Unfortunately, such stories are becoming increasingly common. Online gambling, rapidly gaining popularity among young people, ruins the lives of many young people. Hoping to get rich quickly, they take out large loans, borrow money from friends, lose every penny, and some, unable to bear the burden of debt, take the tragic decision of committing suicide.
This pressing issue was the focus of another preventative event organized on 9th July this year for copper smelter workers.
The event was attended by the officers of the Interior Affairs Department of the Tashkent Region Directorate of Interior Affairs at AMMC, the representatives of the Almalyk branch of the National Bank, as well as the Deputy Imam of the “Hilol” Cathedral Mosque, Saidmukhammad-kori Maidinhonov.
“The Almighty has bestowed upon humanity countless blessings, and one of the greatest among them is life. It is through this gift that a person can enjoy all other blessings. Islam categorically condemns suicide. During adolescence, a lack of proper attention of the adults, a negative environment, bad habits, and alcohol and drug abuse can push young people to tragic acts. In the recent years, there have been increasing cases of people addicted to online gambling, falling into debt, and, seeing no way out, committing irreversible acts. Unfortunately, idleness and insufficient parental supervision often lead young people into such situations. Therefore, it's crucial to constantly monitor your children's social circles, know their friends, hobbies, and what they do on their phones. Parents need to regularly monitor their children's use of mobile devices” noted Saidmukhammad-kori Maidinhonov, Deputy Imam of the “Hilol” Cathedral Mosque.
During the meeting, experts also discussed in detail the causes of the spread of online fraud and how to avoid becoming a victim.
Participants were urged to remain vigilant and cautious. Particular attention was paid to situations around ATMs: requests from strangers to transfer money to their card or help with a cash withdrawal could be part of a fraudulent scheme. Experts emphasized that such requests from strangers should not be performed, and personal and banking information should always be kept confidential.
Furthermore, the event emphasized the importance of crime prevention and the inevitability of punishment for any offense.
Such preventive measures in the structural divisions of the Complex will continue.
