+998 71 619 23 33On 15 July of this year, the roundtable discussion was held at Penitentiary Colony No. 14 of the First Regional Directorate of the Department of Penitentiary Execution under the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan. It was organized as part of the "Month of Compliance and Spiritual and Moral Culture."
The event was held in compliance with Order No. 207 of the Ministry of Interior Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated 1 July 2026, and was part of a series of events held nationwide from 1 to 31 July. The meeting was organized to improve legal literacy among employees. It was attended by relevant specialists and staff of the penitentiary colony.
Imomali Botirov, the leading specialist of the compliance department of JSC “Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex”, delivered the presentation entitled "Only Together Can We Stop Corruption."
In his speech, he particularly emphasized the importance of preventing conflicts of interest in the performance of official duties, strict adherence to professional ethics and internal regulations, and the personal responsibility of each employee for preventing corruption risks.
Furthermore, the participants received a detailed explanation of the key provisions of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. ZRU-1155 dated 22 June 2026, "On Amendments and Additions to Certain Legislative Acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan Aimed at Improving the Effectiveness of the Fight against Corruption and Ensuring the Inevitability of Accountability for Corruption Crimes." It was noted that the new legislative provisions are intended to strengthen the rule of law and create an atmosphere of zero tolerance for any manifestations of corruption within the system.
At the end of the roundtable, which was held in an open dialogue format, participants received comprehensive and legally sound answers to their questions from experts.
