The railway speaks its own language. A clatter of wheels against the rails, a steady hum of the electric locomotive, the footsteps of people rushing to work early in the morning...

For Nurmukhamed Abdunazarovich Kurbanov, these sounds are not merely part of the work process. It is a familiar melody that has accompanied him for over forty years.

Nurmukhamed Abdunazarovich was born in 1970 in Almalyk. He began his working life at a very young age. In 1985, he finished the vocational training school No. 17, with qualification of an electric locomotive driver’s assistant. After completion of his military service, he returned to work and continued his professional career.

The year 1991 was a milestone in his life. It was then that he joined the Industrial Railway Transport Department of the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex as an assistant electric locomotive engineer.

Since then, our hero’s life inextricably linked to the railway. At first, he was an assistant train driver. Then, a track serviceman. And then again, an assistant train driver. And in 2003 he has become an electric locomotive driver.

These functions were based on years of hard work, experience, and professional mastery.

Since 2007, Nurmukhamed Abdunazarovich has been working as an electric locomotive operator at Railway Shop No. 1 for technological transportations from the Kalmakyr mine of the Industrial Rail Transport Department

On the outside, working in the cab of an electric locomotive might seem like an ordinary job. But in fact, it requires constant concentration, precision, and a strong sense of responsibility. After all, behind every trip lie the team’s trust and the enterprise’s uninterrupted operation. That is precisely why, over the years, responsibility grows alongside railway experience.

The greatest asset Nurmukhamed Abdunazarovich has gained throughout his career is precisely this wealth of experience. Forty years upward..... And the rails still follow their path. The electric locomotives are still moving. Technological transportation from the Kalmakyr mine continues. And this continuous movement is the working life of a single person.

By the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On awarding of a group of public officers, factory workers and workers of the socio-economic spheres in connection with the 35th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan”, a number of representatives from various sectors were awarded state honors. Among them is Nurmukhamed Abdunazarovich Kurbanov. The award served as high recognition of more than forty years of conscientious work. Our hero has been awarded the “Shukhrat/Glory” Medal.
