(+998 71) 619-23-33In December, Tashkent once again became a center of attraction for the industrial and business community of Uzbekistan and foreign partners. From December 10 to 13, the Republican Intersectoral Industrial Fair was held in the capital with the support of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Investments, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Tashkent City Administration at the National Exhibition Complex “Uzexpocentre”.
This key event confirms its importance year after year as an important platform for strengthening the cooperation ties between the state, business and investors.
The Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov emphasized the importance of holding the fair which has become a strategic tool for the development and modernization of the industrial potential of the republic, creation of new jobs and the development of business projects.
This year, 4,627 enterprises participated in the fair, representing more than 6,000 types of products covering a wide range of industries, from mechanical engineering and textiles to the chemical industry and electronics. This scale is a clear reflection of Uzbekistan's strategic course on developing the domestic economy, supporting small and medium-sized businesses, and strengthening the positions of national producers in international markets.
A regular participant in such events is JSC “Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex” whose specialists presented samples of products manufactured in the plant's divisions at the exhibition stands, including under the localization program, as well as spare parts and equipment offered for development to local companies.
One of the important areas of the fair was the promotion of more than 180 types of new locally produced goods in the areas of medical equipment, chemical catalysts and industrial devices, which can provide real competition to imported analogues. This not only reduces dependence on external supplies, but also stimulates the emergence of new business initiatives.
The organizers pay special attention to inclusiveness and social responsibility. For the first time, a special sector was allocated at the fair for enterprises supporting people with disabilities. More than 43 companies presented 350 unique types of products, which emphasizes Uzbekistan's commitment to creating equal opportunities for all participants in the economy.
In parallel with the exhibition part, the fair becomes a venue for large-scale negotiations in the B2B and B2G formats, where participants can sign a significant number of contracts. According to preliminary data, about 2,700 agreements are expected to be concluded for a total of 6.5 trillion UZS. These agreements cover both large inter-industry projects and private investment initiatives aimed at modernizing and diversifying the national economy.
An interesting feature of the fair was the demonstration of not only current achievements, but also long-term projects aimed at transforming the industrial landscape of Uzbekistan. In particular, more than 2,158 initiatives with a total investment of 80 trillion UZS are presented, which are planned to be implemented by 2025. These projects, aimed at developing industrial cooperation, strengthening export potential and creating new jobs, emphasize the country's desire for sustainable growth.
The Republican Intersectoral Industrial Fair not only demonstrates the achievements of the national economy, but also creates unique conditions for dialogue between all market participants. Here, businesses gain access to new opportunities, the state – tools for strategic management, and investors – promising areas for investment. The results of the fair promise to become an important indicator of the growth and development of the economy of Uzbekistan, where development and innovation play a key role.
