In accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On measures to implement the strategy for innovative development of the country for 2024-2025”, one of the tasks is to attract scientific potential to solve problems in industry.

As part of this, a program of visits of scientists to industrial enterprises was approved. In accordance with the plan, on February 19 of this year, the faculty of universities and scientific institutions of the country visited the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex (AMMC).

The event included a scientific meeting attended by specialists from the complex and scientists. As part of the meeting, reports were presented by specialists from the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, the Institute of Materials Science of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Tashkent State Technical University, the Institute of Geology and Geophysics, as well as the Almalyk branch of NRTU MISiS.

In particular, the professors’ reports were devoted to such topics as “Modeling deformations arising during the development of the “Kalmakyr” deposit using satellite technologies”, “Study of technologies for obtaining building materials from waste from processing plants”, “Development of intelligent devices for operational control of ore moisture and their implementation in practice”, etc.

The reports and proposed scientific solutions aroused great interest among the complex specialists. During the discussion of the issues, the meeting participants received detailed answers from the professors. In some areas, discussions took place on the implementation of theoretical approaches in practice.

It was noted that in order to increase the competitiveness of industry, it is necessary to widely use the achievements of science. To do this, it is necessary to strengthen cooperation between research institutes, universities and manufacturing enterprises, which will ensure the implementation of innovations. Only by developing science and technology can we achieve stable and effective growth in industry.

After the seminar, a short tour of the complex structural divisions was organized for the scientists.

During the meeting, scientists and specialists agreed to work together on projects aimed at increasing economic and environmental efficiency.
