At the industrial facilities, scheduled preventive maintenance activities are of strategic importance, as it ensures the uninterrupted, safe, and reliable operation of process equipment.

For this purpose, on 29 May this year at 7:00 AM, in accordance with the approved maintenance schedule, the anode furnace No. 1 in the copper smelter's metallurgical shop was shut down for scheduled maintenance.

As reported by Jasur Turakulov, Head of the converter-anode department of the metallurgical shop, this critical and important work involves engineering and technical specialists and highly qualified workers from the plant's process, energy, and repair services, as well as teams from specialized sections No. 4 and No. 6 of the specialized repair department.

According to the approved schedule, the repair will last five days. During this time, a wide range of technical measures will be implemented to maintain the enterprise production capacity and improve the efficiency of production processes. In particular, the components of the anode furnace's water cooling system and flue gas duct were replaced. Partial repairs to the furnace's refractory lining were completed. A major overhaul of the anode casting machine, which ensures finished product production, was also completed. The power and mechanical equipment underwent diagnostics, inspection, and necessary adjustments.

Such systematic and scheduled modernization works ensure further safe and stable operation of the equipment, minimizes the risk of technical failures, and maintains the high quality of the products.
