Pursuant to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. UP-17 dated 4 February 2026, and paragraph 10 of the Protocol No. 1 of the Board Meeting of the Agency for Industrial Cooperation and Public Procurement, the Banking and Finance Academy organized a week-long professional development course for industry specialists from ministries and agencies.

The logical continuation of the training program was a visit by the course participants to Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex on 22 May of this year. The participants visited one of the country's largest industrial enterprises to gain practical insight into the production processes and industrial cooperation mechanisms implemented under the Localization Program.

During the visit, the guests were given a detailed overview of the technological processes at the Kalmakyr and Yoshlik I mines. They also visited the Copper Processing Plant No. 3. They were briefed on the company's production capacity and the modern, high-tech equipment installed at the plant. The participants were particularly interested in the activities of the central repair and mechanical plant, which is one of the key implementers of the Localization Program at the Complex. The products manufactured at the enterprise and the scale of its operations left a strong impression on the guests.

The participants also visited the Almalyk Foundry and Mechanical Plant, which operates under the "towing" mechanism. The enterprise’s successful efforts to develop import-substituting products in close cooperation with the Complex were particularly noted. Previously, such products were imported, but are now manufactured locally.

The participants emphasized that such practical visits create a solid foundation for the effective exchange of experience between industry specialists and contribute to the further development of industrial cooperation.
