Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex headily proceeds with the phased construction of infrastructure facilities for one of the largest and most strategically significant investment projects in the history of the country’s non-ferrous metallurgy industry - Copper Concentrator-3.

As part of this megaproject, construction of important facilities designed to ensure the safety and stable operation of the entire complex is being completed. In particular, final construction and installation work is currently underway at the factory site at an accelerated pace at the security gatehouse, as well as in the modern guardhouse building, intended for military personnel of the military unit of the Command of the Troops for the Protection of Categorized Facilities of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan, ensuring the security of enterprise.

According to Doniyor Tulaganov, Acting Deputy Director of the Copper Concentrator-3 for Civil Defense and Precious Metals Security, the guardhouse complex, specially built for military personnel, will soon be fully operational. Interior finishing works are currently being completed here.

The guardhouse building is being constructed in accordance with modern building standards. It features all the necessary conditions to ensure that staff can perform their duty efficiently and effectively. In particular, the facilities include comfortable office space, a modern canteen, rest rooms for refreshment, and special classes for advanced professional training. In addition, garages for the safe storage of military and special equipment are being built on the Complex territory.

At the same time, construction is underway on a central security gatehouse arranged for entry and exit of factory workers and visitors. The complex shall include a pass office equipped with modern digital technology, a duty officer’s office, and a first aid room where specialists can continuously monitor the health of employees. All premises will be equipped with the necessary furniture and special equipment.

Currently, a range of construction, installation and commissioning works are also being completed here. The construction of a car checkpoint for entry and exit of vehicles from the factory premises is also nearing completion.

It is worth noting that today the territory of Copper Concentrator-3 is completely surrounded by a reinforced security fence.

To ensure 24/7 real-time monitoring of site security, prevent potential emergencies, and ensure the safety of property assets, modern digital CCTV cameras have been installed at all key sites. They are incorporated into a single centralized system.

These high-tech control and safety systems create reliable conditions for the stable and safe operation of the factory for many years to come.
