International cooperation in education

On December 11 of this year, specialists from the personnel training department of the Training Center of JSC "Almalyk MMC" participated in the second meeting of the "Vocational Education" working group under the Representative Office of the German Economy in Central Asia.

At the event, Malika Akramova, General Director of GIC Uzbekistan and AHK Zentralasien; Moritz Junginger, Economic Advisor and Head of Economic Cooperation at the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Uzbekistan; Angela Papenburg, Chair of the "Vocational Education" Working Group and Member of the Management Board of GP Günter Papenburg AG; as well as specialists from the training center of JSC "Almalyk MMC" and other responsible individuals discussed issues of cooperation in education.

Shihnazar Sharofiddinov, Head of the Department for the Development of the Vocational Education System under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, delivered a report on the vocational education system in our country and the prospects for its improvement.

At the event, Doniyor Karimov, Head of the Combine's Training Center, Mansur Sattarov, Director of the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Technical School, Ulugbek Igamberdiev, Leading Engineer for Work with Higher Educational Institutions of the Training Center's Personnel Training and Retraining Department, and Yulia Beskorskaya, Head of the "Skills Experts Program" project, provided information to the attendees about the pilot project of the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex.

Within the framework of the event, a trilateral cooperation agreement was signed between the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex, GIC Uzbekistan, and the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Technical School. This agreement is part of a pilot project to develop, implement, and evaluate a secondary vocational education program based on elements of dual education, adapted to German educational standards. The program covers the fields of "Metal Processing Technology" and "Metal Processing Specialists." According to the plan, theoretical knowledge will be taught at the educational institution, practical classes will be held at the engineering school of the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex, and internships will take place in various departments of the plant.

At the conclusion of the event, Malika Akramova, General Director of GIC Uzbekistan and AHK Zentralasien, also informed the participants about the online courses of the "Interns from Uzbekistan" project.
