Built on the basis of modern technologies, the 3rd Copper Concentrator Plant has been steadily strengthening its reputation as one of Uzbekistan’s strategically important large-scale industrial facilities within the copper industry. The installation and commissioning works carried out at the plant—particularly in the concentrate preparation and transportation stages—have ensured high efficiency and reliability, significantly increasing the overall production capacity of the complex.

The full installation and commissioning of five “Larox” press filters at the plant has made it possible to prepare copper-molybdenum concentrate in compliance with international standards. By maintaining concentrate moisture at 8–10 percent, the press filters have also optimized transportation and storage processes.

In addition, the commissioning of two thickener units with a diameter of 28 meters has become a key technological element, ensuring stable and high-quality performance of the concentrate thickening and subsequent filtration stages.

Among the enterprises of the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex, the 3rd Copper Concentrator Plant stands out for its production volumes and product quality. Since the third quarter of 2025, phased commissioning has been carried out along the entire technological chain, and today the plant’s main process units are operating in a stable mode.

Thickened and filtered copper-molybdenum concentrate is stored in special warehouses located on the plant’s premises. One of the key strategic directions for the finished product is its uninterrupted delivery to the Copper-Smelting Plant via dump cars belonging to the Industrial Railway Transport Department, a structural unit of the complex. At present, railway transport has been selected as the primary logistics route, as it enables the safe, cost-efficient and sustainable transportation of large volumes of concentrate. The concentrate is loaded from warehouses into dump cars and dispatched to the Copper-Smelting Plant according to a fixed schedule, playing a crucial role in ensuring uninterrupted copper production.

All technological stages at the plant—from extracting high-quality concentrate from ore to filtration, preparation at the specified moisture level and transportation—are carried out with high efficiency using automated control systems and modern equipment.

Today, the 3rd Copper Concentrator Plant is emerging as one of Uzbekistan’s leading industrial facilities, distinguished by its strategic importance, high capacity, advanced technological capabilities and superior product quality.
