On October 17, a spiritual-educational event was held at the Zinc Plant by the Trade Union Committee and the Commission on Spiritual-Educational Affairs to commemorate the 36th anniversary of granting the Uzbek language the status of the “State Language” on October 21.

Librarians from the Trade Union Council Library of “Almalyk MMC” JSC took part in the event.

During the gathering, the librarians presented information about the history of the Uzbek language and its role in modern society, which was warmly received by the employees.

As part of the program, participants of the essay competition recited their works to the audience.

The authors of the top three essays — Khumora Nishonova, Nargiza Jumabayeva, and Eldor Abduraimov — were announced as the winners.

The winners were presented with commemorative gifts by the Trade Union.

A similar spiritual-educational event was also organized at the Consumer Goods Production Department in cooperation with the trade union, the Women and Gender Equality Advisory Council, and the Youth Union.

During the event, speakers shared sincere thoughts on the importance of the native language in society and the need to preserve and cherish it. In celebration of the occasion, a language-themed quiz was held among employees, and participants who answered correctly were awarded by the trade union.
