+998 71 619 23 33Every year on March 4, the Day of the Establishment of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Uzbekistan is widely celebrated in our country. This date was established by a Presidential Decree and is a symbol of deep respect for the people who selflessly guard the security and tranquility of the country.
This day honors rescuers, firefighters, and all civil defense specialists - those who, in the face of natural disasters and man-made accidents, are the first to come to the rescue, save lives, and do everything possible to prevent property damage. Their work requires courage, high responsibility and constant readiness to act in the most difficult situations.
On-site trainings play a vital role in enhancing the combat readiness of rescue units, practicing their coordinated interaction and efficiency in emergency response.
As part of this work, complex training and tactical exercises were recently organized at Section No. 1 of the Building Materials and Structures Production Department of the “Olmalikmetallurgkurilish” complex of enterprises. They were attended by employees of specialized fire station No. 51, a civil defense detachment, as well as representatives of relevant services.
According to the simulated practice scenarios, at 09:45 an earthquake with a magnitude of 8 occurred at the enterprise.
As a result of earthquake shocks in a metalworking workshop, a metal load fell from an overhead crane, trapping one of the workers underneath. Four more workers were trapped in the work assignment room: equipment collapsed and the metal door was deformed, preventing them from escaping.
At the same time, a short circuit occurred in the electrical distribution board and transformer, which were under voltage, which led to a fire. The workers witnessing the incident immediately reported the incident to the control room of the enterprise.
Civil defense units quickly arrived at the scene, evacuated the victims from the building and took them to a safe area. Medical workers provided them with first aid.
Specialists from a specialized fire department localized and extinguished the fire.
At the end of the drill, the participants analyzed in detail the mistakes and shortcomings made. Overall, the performance of all services was considered satisfactory.
