AMMC Participates Actively in UIMF–2025 Mining and Metallurgy Forum

On October 28-29, 2025, the 7th International Mining and Metallurgy Forum – UIMF-2025 – was held in Tashkent at the Congress Hall of the “Uzexpocentre” MMC, as part of the 19th International Exhibition “MiningMetalsUzbekistan 2025”. The event was organized with the support of the Ministry of Mining and Geology of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Uzbekistan Metallurgy Association.

The forum became a key platform for discussing industry development strategies, advancing the extraction of critical minerals, establishing sustainable investment models, and implementing modern technological solutions. More than 550 delegates and 46 speakers from 14 countries, including Australia, the United Kingdom, Germany, Canada, the United States, and Japan, took part in the event.

The forum program covered a wide range of topics, from Uzbekistan’s investment attractiveness to digital transformation and workforce development. Key discussions focused on ESG financing, public-private partnerships, and the integration of IoT, Big Data, and artificial intelligence technologies into production processes.

Special attention was given to Uzbekistan’s role in the global market for critical minerals necessary for developing green energy and high-tech industries. Localizing advanced solutions, training specialists, and ensuring the stability of supply chains were also actively discussed.

On the second day of the forum, Abdukahhor Saynazarov, Head of the Technology Department at AMMC, deliverd a presentation. He outlined the company’s approaches to reducing greenhouse gas and sulfur dioxide emissions at the Copper-Smelting Plant, as well as the Technology Center’s activities in developing and implementing innovative solutions. Improving existing technologies and developing new ones;

Introducing modern solutions to enhance product quality and localize raw materials.

Processing technogenic structures and mastering new raw material sources;

Collaborating on joint scientific projects with international companies;

Conducting semi-industrial tests in partnership with Finland’s EPSE Oy for acidic waste treatment using EPSE 1010 reagent;

Exploring unique rare-earth metal sources in AMMC technological products;

During the panel session on “Partnership and Cooperation Based on the Integration of Science and Innovative Ecosystems”, a national platform uniting scientific institutions, universities, and industrial enterprises was discussed.

The forum concluded with a session dedicated to the future of vocational education in the sector. Participants discussed the introduction of international standards, development of corporate programs, and strengthening links between universities and production.

AMMC’s participation in UIMF-2025 demonstrated the company’s active position in sustainable development, technological modernization, and workforce training. The forum provided an important venue for exchanging experiences, establishing new collaborations, and defining long-term development directions of Uzbekistan’s mining and metallurgical sector.
