“Their lives stand as a model for us all”

Today, a meeting of three generations was held at the “Metallurg” Palace of Culture under the theme “Their lives stand as a model for us all”.

The event was attended by former statesmen and public figure, labor veteran Abduhoshim Mutalov, people’s poet of Uzbekistan Barot Isroil, Head of the Journalists’ Union of Uzbekistan in Tashkent region Rahmatilla Sheraliyev, representatives of the Republic Center and Spirituality and Enlightenment, member of the Writer’s Union of Uzbekistan, poet Farogat Khudoykulova, Honored Artist of Uzbekistan Gulbahor Erkulova, Chairman of the Tashkent Regional Council of Veterans Abdusamat Nosirov, Chairwoman of the Tashkent Regional Trade Union Council Sayyora Fayziyeva, Deputy chairman for Personnel and Social Affairs of the AMMC Sadi Shermatov, Mayor of Almalyk city Kobil Khamdamov, as well as representatives of the Journalists’ Union, Almalyk City Council of Veterans, and AMMC veterans.

During the event, Abduhoshim Mutalov share with the youth his life path and professional career, providing interesting insights into events that took place in the early years of independence and reforms implemented for the well-being of the nation. He especially emphasized that the large-scale transformations and investment projects currently being carried out at the complex are of historic significance, noting that the workers participating in these projects are the true heroes of our time.

The poets attending the event presented samples of their creative works to the audience.

Additionally, a presentation of several scientific publications authored by Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Abdurashid Hasanov and his students was held.

The heartfelt melodies performed by Honored Artist of Uzbekistan Gulbahor Erkulova inspired veterans to dance.

The event also featured the presentation of two books – “Towards a green economy” and “The melody of echoing from stones” – authored by Oysara Dadayeva, member of the Journalists’ Union of Uzbekistan, dedicated to the 75th anniversary of AMMC.

“The melody echoing from stones” is an artistic chronological narrative that tells the story of the more than 75-year history of the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex, one of the country’s major industrial enterprises. The book provides a detailed account of Uzbekistan’s heavy industry, the lives and work of the complex’s employees, mining operations, ore processing, and the extraction of rare and precious metals.

Speakers at the book launch emphasized that the work is an important source for readers seeking to gain a comprehensive understanding of the complex.
