Continuity of experience transfer

16 April 2026, 9:32 370

The “Mentor-Apprentice” tradition is not only a system of knowledge transfer, but also a school that educates a person. It ensures the continuity of experience in society and plays an important role in preserving national values. This type of relationship is especially relevant in industrial enterprises, when an experienced worker takes under his wing a newcomer who has just joined the team.

This system has been widely implemented in all structural divisions of the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex. The “Mentor-Apprentice” tradition already has a solid foundation, and targeted and systematic work is being carried out in this direction. Thus, in accordance with the Regulations on “Mentor and Apprentice”, approved at AMMC on December 28, 2022, an appropriate order “On the arrangement of the work of mentors and apprentices” was issued in order to assist young specialists in adapting to production and acquiring professional skills at the department of specialized repair work.

On April 15, the company held a final meeting on the “Mentor-Apprentice” tradition, during which the work accomplished in this area, shortcomings identified, and future priorities were discussed.

The event was attended by Azamat Mavlanov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of the AMMC for youth affairs; Doniyor Karimov, Head of the Training Center; and the management and specialists of the SRWD (Specialized Repair Work Department).

Speaking to the meeting participants, the head of the SRWD, Khusniddin Sulaymanov, emphasized that today the plant is not only increasing its production capacity, but is also becoming a real “school of craftsmanship”.

- The major investment projects in which we are participating today are not just new buildings or equipment, - said Kh. Sulaymanov. - These are the most sophisticated, high-tech technologies at the level of world standards. To assume such a huge responsibility, our specialists are required not only to possess knowledge, but also a high level of skill.

During the event, apprentices assigned to experienced mentors presented their specific ideas and proposals based on the knowledge and skills they had acquired with their mentors.

During each presentation, special attention was paid to the high-quality execution of work to create comfortable and safe working conditions for employees, repair processing equipment and buildings, and assemble and install processing equipment and metal structures in projects involving the workforce.

Experts analyzed each presentation and made the necessary recommendations. It was noted that young specialists will receive more practical professional skills from experienced mentors. It was noted that this tradition is constantly supported by the management of the enterprise and the complex.

A great incentive to participate in the presentations was the fact that 3 young specialists who presented their ideas on complex technological solutions based on their knowledge and skills acquired will be promoted ahead of schedule to professional ranks.
