Preventive measures are regularly carried out at the structural divisions of JSC “Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex” as part of the “Intensive 40 Days” campaign. Their main goal is to protect the employees from cyberthreats, improve their legal and financial literacy, and prevent the spread of online gambling.

Recent meetings were held at the Copper Processing Plant, the Copper Processing Plant-3, and the Kauldy mine. During the events, the specialists provided detailed information on an increasingly global problem: online casinos, betting, various risk-based virtual games, as well as cyber fraud and its serious consequences.

Participants were explained the measures to prevent such threats, the requirements of current legislation, and were given real-life examples that clearly demonstrate the consequences of reckless actions in the digital space. The experts urged the employees to be vigilant online, not to disclose personal and banking information to strangers, and shared practical recommendations for ensuring digital security.

Particular attention was paid to the rapidly growing popularity of online gambling. It was noted that online gambling has a serious negative impact on human psychological state and can lead to addiction, which can be extremely difficult to overcome. The meeting participants emphasized that protection from such virtual threats concerns not only each of us personally but also our families, especially children and adolescents.

The event was attended by a representative of the State Security Service for Tashkent Region, the commandant of the military unit, deputy imams of the Ramazon Sharif and Hilol mosques S.Abdullakhanov and B. Sotiboldiev, the chief specialist in social, domestic, and psychoanalytic issues of the AMMC Trade Union Council V. Davletova, officers of the Interior Affairs Department of the Tashkent Region Main Directorate of Interior Affairs at AMMC, and the representatives of commercial banks. They held a meaningful dialogue with employees and answered their questions.

Such open meetings and lively interactions play an important role in raising awareness among the Complex employees and helping them avoid the traps of fraud and other threats in the digital world, not only in their professional work but also in their everyday lives.
