+998 71 619 23 33From March 2 to 6 of this year, the Institute for Advanced Training of the Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan, a non-governmental educational institution, held training courses for occupational safety representatives from the primary trade union organizations of the Trade Union Council of the Workers of JSC “Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex”.
The courses were held at the initiative of Trade Union Council of the Workers of JSC “Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex”. Twenty-eight occupational safety representatives participated, improving their qualifications, strengthening their practical skills, and receiving certificates upon completion of the training.
Following the training, the participants held seminars at their own enterprises, sharing their acquired knowledge with colleagues.
Such events are aimed at systematically improving the professional level of industry specialists and strengthening public oversight of compliance with occupational safety requirements at workplace.
Seminars were organized in several divisions of the Complex, including the social facilities department, the copper smelter, the zinc smelter, the Qalmaqqir and Kauldi mine administrations, the explosives plant, and the Angren mine administration.
The seminars focused on current requirements for occupational safety representatives, the technical and organizational aspects of creating safe working conditions, and employee liability issues. Specialists also presented practical recommendations for the timely identification and elimination of potentially hazardous factors.
It is important to note that these events are not merely formal, but rather targeted and are being implemented in accordance with the relevant decision of the Executive Committee of the Trade Union Council of the Workers of AMMC dated 26 February 2026.
