On February 25 of this year, a seminar on emergency prevention and fire safety was held at the AMMC lime plant.

The event was attended by Adkham Akhrorov, Head of the Fire Safety Department at AMMC facilities, and Bekhzod Abdulkosimov, Deputy Head of the Civil Defense Detachment for Fire Safety.

During the seminar, specialists conducted a detailed analysis of recent fire incidents and examined their causes. Particular attention was paid to electrical safety issues during construction work. It was noted that it is necessary to use cables with insulation designed for high voltage, since most fires occur as a result of short circuits.

Compliance with occupational safety requirements in the production process is the direct responsibility of every employee. Experts reminded that in the event of an emergency, it is important to maintain composure, act clearly and competently, know the rules for using of primary fire extinguishing equipment, and constantly monitor the condition of electrical networks and equipment.

The practical part of the seminar allowed workers to visually familiarize themselves with fire-fighting equipment, primary means, and fire extinguishing equipment, as well as receive explanations on their proper use.

Such practice-oriented events not only help to strengthen theoretical knowledge, but also increase personnel readiness to act in emergency situations. It is surely easier to prevent a fire than to deal with its consequences.
