+998 71 619 23 33The Occupational Safety Department regularly conducts preventative measures at the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex's structural divisions.
The next event took place at the Angren Mine Administration. It was attended by Acting Head of the Almalyk Mining Technical Inspection N. Yakubov, the State Inspector of the Almalyk Mining Technical Inspection M. Azimov, Head of the Occupational Safety Department S.Juraev, Deputy Head of the Mining Department of AMMC S. Prokoptsov, the Deputy Head of Logistics Department A. Chegabaev, the Deputy Head of Geological Department T. Temirov, the representative of the Complex workers' trade union, the enterprise management, the key specialists, and engineering and the technical staff from the structural divisions.
During the event, the detailed analysis was conducted of the causes of the group accident that occurred on 12 January of this year at the Semguran underground section of the Kochbulak mine.
The responsible officials who spoke noted that following the incident, the re-inspection of all mine working intersections was conducted, which showed satisfactory results. They also emphasized that the foremen responsible for the workings' condition had taken the situation under constant monitoring.
At the same time, the representatives of the Occupational Safety Department and the Almalyk Mining Inspectorate pointed to one of the key reasons for the incident: a significant number of newly employed workers are immediately hired as drifters, without sufficient qualifications or practical experience. This factor, they noted, was one of the main causes of the two most recent accidents.
Particular attention was paid to the need to take seriously the identified violations of occupational health and safety, promptly implement the measures developed, and conduct systematic outreach work to personnel regarding strict adherence to safety regulations. It was emphasized that every engineering and technical employee is primarily responsible for ensuring occupational safety. Forcing workers to perform tasks not specified in their job descriptions can lead to negative consequences.
Criticism was also expressed that certain types of works in the mine were planned without due consideration of their level of danger, as well as the qualifications and experience of the workers.
Following the meeting, the corresponding decision was made on the issues discussed.
