As is known, Uzbekistan and China are bringing relations to the level of “all-weather” all-round strategic partnership. At the investment forum on January 25, 2024, the head of Uzbekistan outlined the priorities of cooperation with China, among which is attracting funds for various projects, including projects on deep processing of raw materials.

During the year, a number of Chinese companies visited our country, familiarizing themselves with the activities of mining enterprises and outlining plans for future long-term cooperation.

Thus, recently representatives of China Nonferrous Metal Mining Co. Ltd. headed by the Chairman of the Board of Directors Xi Zhengping visited Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex.

During the visit to AMMC the guests got acquainted with the museum of labor glory of the Complex, with the history of the enterprise development.

Further, the representatives of the Chinese company visited the viewing platforms of “Kalmakyr” and “Yoshlik I” mines, where the specialists of the plant talked about the specifics of open-pit copper porphyry deposits development, mining equipment used in the open pits, volumes of explored reserves.

At the construction site of Copper Concentrator-3 the guests were familiarized with the progress of the investment project, as well as with the peculiarities of the technological process of the plant. Copper Concentrator-3 will be equipped with state-of-the-art equipment to improve the quality of ore processing and metal recovery from concentrates.

During the tour program the representatives of the Chinese delegation discussed with the representatives of AMMC the plans for long-term fruitful cooperation in the sphere of deep processing of raw materials.
