Within the framework of such agreements, in accordance with the programs implemented by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) in the mining industry and the relevant order of the Ministry of Investments, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated July 31, 2025, the delegation consisting of students and professors from Akita University of Japan visited the Combine on August 5.
First, the guests visited the museums located in the “Metallurg” Palace of Culture and received information about the history of the Combine.
In addition, they were shown a video film that fully reflects the structural divisions and production processes of AMMC.
The next destination was the “Qalmoqqir” and “Yoshlik I” mines. The delegation members were very interested in mining operations and the processes of transporting them using huge mountain transports.
Professor of Akita University Atushi Shibayama – We were very impressed by the production capacity of your enterprise and the processes of extracting ore from mines. In the future, we want to continue our cooperation within the framework of new projects and initiatives. In the next stages of cooperation, we intend to create a high-level educational environment with all the conditions for students, as well as to establish partnerships in the production sector. We last visited AMMC two years ago. Today, we are witnessing the great changes and improvements that have occurred at your enterprise. We sincerely wish that the friendship and cooperation between Uzbekistan and Japan will be further strengthened and developed consistently in the future.
As part of the visit, the delegation members visited the Copper Processing Plant-2 and got acquainted with the production processes. After the industrial tour for Akita University students, a round table discussion was organized with the participation of AMMC specialists, where the guests received detailed answers to all their questions.
In conclusion, it should be noted that the combination of Japan's advanced experience in the field of education and AMMC's many years of experience in industrial production will not only prepare highly qualified specialists, but also further strengthen friendly relations between the two countries.
