“Almalyk MMC” JSC continues to expand the scope of international cooperation in various fields of activity. Including the issue of training of highly qualified personnel with deep knowledge of global achievements in the mining and metallurgical industry.
With the assistance of specialists from the training center, various courses and seminars are organized, allowing to become familiar with innovative technologies used in leading foreign companies.
For example, in order to create the necessary conditions for the introduction of modern forms, methods and requirements into the learning process, on December 11, a delegation, comprising of representatives of the teaching staff of higher educational institutions of Japan, employees of the Uzbek-Japanese Youth Innovation Center, as well as the JICA Representative Office in Uzbekistan visited AMMC.
In line with the needs of the metallurgy and mineral processing industry, overseas teachers from Japan organized two-hour seminars attended by more than 50 specialists from the copper smelter, three copper concentrators, the quality control service, the technology center for the development and implementation of innovative technologies, the “Khandiza” mine administration and the engineering school.
Waseda University Professor Keiko Sasaki presented a paper entitled “Converting Industrial Waste into Smart Materials for Green Energy.” Kyushu University Professor Hajime Miki held a seminar on “Modern Innovations in Copper Beneficiation Using Hydrometallurgy and Flotation.”
Upon completion of the seminars, the complex specialists received answers to questions posed in the field of metallurgy from foreign teachers. The complex workers were proposed to conduct joint scientific research that would help find solutions to problematic issues in production.
At the end of the seminars, the Japanese delegation visited the workshops of Copper concentrator-2, where a round table was organized with the participation of leading specialists of copper concentrator.
