The nationwide project "Yashil Makon", which covered the entire country, is transforming the appearance of the cities and industrial areas, expanding green spaces and improving the environment. The teams at Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex, including those at the combined Heat and Power Plant, are actively participating in this large-scale initiative.

As Zukhriddin Rakhimov, Deputy Head of General Affairs of the HPP, noted, a systematic set of agricultural measures has been implemented to ensure the full growth and development of each planted seedling.

For example, in 2023-2024, 14,700 poplar seedlings and 14,000 cuttings were planted on the 2-hectare site. In 2025, additional 7,500 poplar trees were planted on one hectare of land.

Particular attention is also being paid to the improvement of Amir Temur Street, assigned to the HPP, where 1,000 geranium bushes, 3,000 violets, and ornamental basil have been planted.

The enterprise team doesn't limit itself to simply planting trees and plants. To ensure their healthy growth, systematic care and watering are organized. Under the supervision of specialists, soil loosening, weed control, and fertilization with local fertilizers are carried out in a timely manner. This integrated approach promotes high survival rates and vigorous growth of green spaces.

Furthermore, to ensure consistent continuation of work on creating the "green belt," planting material for next year is already being prepared. Currently, 7,000 poplar cuttings, 500 birch seedlings, and 500 elm seedlings are being grown.

Such positive initiatives not only serve to preserve the environment and improve the surrounding area, but also serve as a shining example of responsibility to future generations, who must be left with a green and healthy environment.
