A training and practical seminar on the topic “Audit of large enterprises with a state share in the authorized capital of 50% or more, conducted on the basis of international standards, the possibility of using “remote audit” using information technology, as well as effective factors in managing internal control in the fight against corruption” was held at the Tashkent State University of Economics.

The event, organized with the support of the Accounts Chamber, the Anti-Corruption Agency and the Prosecutor General’s Office, was attended by heads of large enterprises, responsible persons of such departments as internal audit, compliance control, risk management, etc.

In particular, the seminar was also attended by the management and responsible persons of the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex.

During the seminar, issues related to the types of audits carried out in large enterprises with a state share of 50% or more, the implementation of effective mechanisms and requirements established by the Law on “Conflict of Interest”, compliance with legislation in the field of public procurement, as well as the procedure for carrying out capital construction work and developing business plans were discussed.

As part of the event, a memorandum of cooperation and a Program of activities to be carried out within the framework of this agreement were signed between the Accounts Chamber and the Anti-Corruption Agency.

The cooperation will be aimed at increasing the effectiveness of internal control in the fight against corruption, establishing the exchange of information between departments in real time through information systems, as well as ensuring compliance with legislation in the field of public procurement, preparing and exchanging analytical data and other measures.
