Summer Season under Full Control

On 4 June of this year, the extended training seminar on "Organizing the Summer Season" was held at the “Metallurg” Palace of Culture, organized by the Trade Union Council of Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex.

The event was attended by the chairmen of the trade union committees of AMMC structural divisions, employees of children's health camps, educators and counselors, medical workers, representatives of law enforcement agencies, and specialists from the emergency prevention and response unit at the Complex facilities.

The seminar began with an awards ceremony for participants in the national creative competition "Best Poem" based on the anthem of children's health camps in Uzbekistan, dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the trade union movement in the country. Active participants received letters of gratitude and commemorative gifts.

Among the award recipients were Feruza Abdusamatova (a transport operator at the copper smelter), Sarvarjon Abdujalilov (assistant to the chairman of the board of JSC “Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex”), Azam Kuralov (a machine operator in the mine construction department), Dilshod Yunusov (chairman of the zinc smelter's trade union committee), and Zhakhongir Buriyev (teacher at School No. 21 and mentor at the “Metallurg” camp).

During the seminar, participants discussed in detail key issues related to the preparation and implementation of the summer health campaign.

Abdurashid Khaidarov, Chairman of AMMC Trade Union Council, outlined the tasks and responsibilities of trade union organizations in ensuring a high-quality and organized season.

Feruza Fozilmatova, Head of the Epidemiology Department of the Almalyk Town Department of Sanitary, Epidemiological Welfare, and Public Health, emphasized strict adherence to sanitary requirements, including providing camps with high-quality drinking water, nutritious meals, and daily disinfection procedures.

Abdujabbor Tukhtabayev, Head of the Medical Unit of AMMC, and Kudrat Karimkulov, representative of the town medical association, emphasized the importance of preventing infectious diseases during children's summer vacations and the responsible approach of medical personnel to their duties.

The representatives of law enforcement agencies and emergency response units briefed the participants on measures to ensure safety at the camps. Specifically, they discussed organizing 24-hour monitoring on the premises of the facilities, using modern video surveillance systems, maintaining the readiness of firefighting equipment, and preventing juvenile delinquency.

Kamola Umaralieva, Advisor to the Chairman of the Board of “JSC Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex”, shared plans for developing patriotic values ​​among young people and promoting reading.

Kamoliddin Makhatov, Chief Technical Labor Inspector of the Trade Union, spoke about the challenges of creating safe working conditions for camp employees and technical staff.

The seminar concluded with a question-and-answer session, which resulted in the identification of practical measures for the effective implementation of these tasks during the summer season.
