+998 71 619 23 33Today, on July 2, a press conference titled “Innovation in Action: The Potential of Artificial Intelligence in the Operations of the AMMC” was held at the National Press Center.
At the event, the Complex specialists discussed the key results of digital transformation achieved through the use of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies and presented plans for further development in this area.
It was noted that, in fulfillment of the instructions of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, given during his visit to the AMMC on March 16, 2026, a number of large-scale projects have been implemented at the Complex to introduce artificial intelligence technologies into production processes.
Today, digital technologies and artificial intelligence-based solutions are implemented at virtually every stage of the production cycle – from ore mining to finished product output. This allows for a significant increase in production efficiency, the level of industrial safety and the quality of process control. Currently, the following digital solutions are successfully operating at the Complex.
Digital mine and digital geology
Geological and surveying data accumulated over 80 years of the company’s operation have been digitized. Based on these data, a three-dimensional model of the pit was created, mineral reserves were re-evaluated, and the accuracy of mining planning was significantly improved. At the Kalmakyr and Yoshlik I deposits, systems for monitoring of ore size and fatigue of pit equipment drivers have been implemented.
Predictive diagnostics and industrial safety
Software solutions developed by the Complex specialists are successfully applied in the enterprise’s technological processes. A new generation of intelligent systems enables the transition from traditional vehicle maintenance to a predictive management model. Today, the software package makes it possible to implement intelligent diagnostics of equipment, predict possible malfunctions, digitalize laboratory processes, create a unified database on equipment and units, and also effectively manage resources - oils, tires and components - based on data analysis.
Corporate management
The processes of personnel accounting and payroll calculation are fully automated using the “1C: Payroll and HR Management”. Employees also have access to a corporate AI assistant that enables quick searches of internal documents and provides necessary consultations.
Intelligent pit transport system
The entire fleet of pit equipment is equipped with intelligent cameras and sensors. Artificial intelligence analyzes ore composition directly in the quarry, monitors excavator bucket teeth and driver fatigue levels in real time. Tire pressure sensors help to reduce fuel consumption and improve vehicle efficiency.
Digital twins of production facilities have been created
Virtual models of production processes have been created for the copper smelter, as well as copper concentrators No. 1, 2, and 3. Now, Situation Center specialists can monitor the operation of all technological facilities in real time through a single visualization system. This allows us to prevent unjustified equipment shutdowns, quickly identify any malfunctions and promptly eliminate them.
During the press conference, it was noted that AMMC is currently actively working on nearly 30 artificial intelligence projects, implemented in accordance with the instructions of the head of state.
Thus, by analyzing geological data, drilling and blasting processes are optimized, enabling to reduce the consumption of explosives. In addition, an intelligent railway infrastructure monitoring system is being implemented that automatically identifies track defects and predicts the likelihood of emergency situations. Flotation AI machine vision technology is being implemented at mineral processing plants, enabling artificial intelligence to automatically regulate the supply of reagents during flotation based on analysis of bubble size, speed, and color. An intelligent HR system is also being developed to automate and accelerate the selection of candidate resumes.
To date, 16 digital developments created and implemented by AMMC specialists have received copyright registration certificates from the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Participants at the press conference were also informed that plans are underway to create a unified digital ecosystem for the AMC and ensure the widespread implementation of artificial intelligence technologies at all levels of enterprise management.
At the end of the event, the Complex specialists answered all questions from media representatives in detail.
For reference, a department for the development and implementation of artificial intelligence has been created within the company’s structure, and AMMC itself has become a member of the international association “AI Alliance”.
