On 27 June, in honor of the Day of Print and Mass Media Workers, a meeting was held at the Metallurg Palace of Culture between the Chairman of the Board of JSC “Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex”, Senator Abdulla Khursanov, and representatives of city and corporate media. Opening the meeting, Abdulla Khursanov emphasized the importance of journalistic work in the context of large-scale reforms taking place in the country:

– The role of journalists in conveying information about the transformations in the country and the projects implemented at the plant is difficult to overestimate. Coverage of investment programs and large-scale projects that directly affect the lives of the population is especially important.

He also spoke about a recent meeting chaired by the President of Uzbekistan, where issues of industrial enterprises' transition to "green" energy were discussed. According to the senator, AMMC has been given new tasks in the field of increasing energy efficiency and sustainable development:

– Informing the public about such priority areas is your mission. Thanks to you, society understands in what direction the country is developing.

Particular attention at the meeting was paid to the international activity of the plant. As A. Khursanov noted, interest in cooperation with AMMC is growing on the part of foreign partners. Thus, within the framework of the international investment forum held in Tashkent, representatives of companies and financial organizations from different countries – including Bulgarian President Rumen Radev and Slovakian Prime Minister Robert Fico – expressed interest in the activities of the plant. Potential partners also include Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank:

– We are offered strategic cooperation. This speaks of the high international level and trust in our plant.

According to the Chairman of the Board, over the past five years, delegations from different countries have regularly visited AMMC, discussing possible areas of cooperation. He expressed confidence that journalists will continue to be an important link in the process of transparently informing about the changes and achievements of the enterprise.

At the end of his speech, Abdulla Khursanov warmly congratulated all representatives of the press on their professional holiday, wishing them success and inspiration in their work.

During the event, the work of the AMMC information service was also noted. The head of the service, Umida Karshibaeva, presented a presentation in which she summed up the results of activities for 2024. The meeting participants were told about key achievements, projects and the work of corporate media.

Today, the AMMC information service includes a web editorial office, the AMMC TV channel, as well as the “Tsvetnye Metally” and “Za Tsvetnye Metally” newspapers.
