During the press tour organized for the media representatives, the work processes at the industrial enterprises and mines of the complex were introduced. Journalists had the opportunity to speak closely with miners and company specialists.
For reference: currently, within the framework of the development concept of the complex until 2030, work is underway to develop the Yoshlik-1 mine and to build the 3rd Copper concentrating plant. Once the plant is commissioned, nearly 3,000 jobs will be created.
On October 15 of this year, during President Shavkat Mirziyoyev's visit to the Almalyk mining and metallurgical complex, construction of the 4th Copper concentrating plant was launched as part of the second phase of this project. Through this project, production capacities will be established to produce 146,000 tons of cathode copper and other valuable metals per year. More than 3,000 people will be employed at the plant and its infrastructure facilities.
The production process at the new plant will utilize advanced, environmentally safe, and energy-efficient technologies.
These projects are considered the largest investment projects in the history of Uzbekistan. As a result of their implementation, the production capacity of the complex will increase several times.
