+998 71 619 23 33On August 5 of this year, the meeting of the Advisory Council on Women and Gender Equality of AMMC was held, dedicated to the results of the first half of 2025 and the tasks to be implemented in the future.
A number of issues were considered at the meeting, chaired by Feruza Hamidova, Chairperson of the Advisory Council on Women and Gender Equality of AMMC.
Initially, the Deputy Chairperson of the Advisory Council Kamola Umaraliyeva reported on the works carried out in the first half of this year. According to her, today 7,621 women are working in various positions at the combine. 1,070 women work in responsible positions at the Combine's enterprises, and 309 work in the management system.
1281 women have higher education, and 19 women are studying in higher education institutions based on the recommendation of AMMC.
The Training Center organized trainings based on the needs and demands of the Combine’s constituent enterprises to improve and retrain employees, and during the first half of the year, a total of 464 women were improved and retrained. In January-June of this year, a total of 958 people were hired by AMMC, of which 196 are women.
With the participation of women, awareness-raising meetings, various projects, and weeks are being held in our country and at the combine to promote reforms, healthy ideology, honest labor, spiritual and moral qualities, prevention of crimes and offenses among women, as well as prevention of violence and family separations.
These include promotional events and practical seminars on topics such as: "100 Strong Women", "A Prosperous Society is Formed by a Healthy Ideology", "My Happy Family", "Enlightened Women is Creator of Family and Society's Well-Being", "Mothers for Green Life!", "Book from Every Worker", "National Values Month", "Let's Not Forget Our Identity", "I Am Proud of My Child", " Combine’s Child", "Values are the Guarantee of Strong Family and Prosperous Society", "National Values and Reforms: Traditions and Renewals".
In addition, the Council established the "Golden Hands of AMMC" talented women's club to bring together talented women in creative, artisan, sports, art lover, seamstress and other fields into one team and popularize, encourage, and support their creativity, establish the "Master-Student" tradition, organize exhibitions, and establish the group's permanent activities.
The “Jannatmakon” club was established to study the history of our country and widely promote tourism, organize tours, and implement various tourism-related projects.
In order to support socially disadvantaged families, the “We are together!” social project is also being implemented, and a Volunteer Group is operating. Volunteers organize the “Mothers for a safe life,” “Mothers for a green life!” campaigns were held.
Over the past 7 months, about 5,000 women have been covered by about 40 events, social projects and cultural and educational programs organized by the plant management to support women.
In order to ensure the implementation of the Resolution of our President dated November 22, 2024 “On measures to improve the system of monitoring oncological diseases among women”, since January of this year, medical examinations and awareness-raising activities for women have been held at the plant’s enterprises in cooperation with the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center of Oncology and Radiology in Tashkent region. To date, more than 3,000 women have been covered by primary examinations and awareness-raising activities at 25 enterprises. In order to detect oncological diseases at an early stage, from February to May, more than 1,100 women of the Combine passed in-depth medical examinations every Tuesday with the participation of qualified oncologists and mammologists.
In addition, during the “Respect for Women” week held at the plant on March 8 this year – International Women's Day, food packages and holiday gifts were distributed to 100 women in need of social protection and women with disable people in their families. 250 needy women were sent to the capital at the expense of the plant to attend holiday concerts organized by the State Philharmonic of Uzbekistan.
More than 4 thousand women participated in the holiday programs organized in structural units on the occasion of the holiday of March 8, 2025.
Following the initiatives and instructions of the Head of our state to develop domestic tourism and organize trips in labor collectives, in January-June of this year, 300 women were sent to Tashkent on trips to museums and historical monuments, and more than 600 women were sent to theaters in the capital.
In April, the Council held the “AMMC for a Green Life!” Week, and within the framework of the week, the “Life Without Waste” campaign was organized. During this week, cleaning work was carried out in the regions, waste collection on the roads, and awareness-raising activities were held for passengers and residents not to throw waste in an undesignated place.
In addition, a flower garden was established on the central Amir Temur Street under the slogan “One Flower – One Hope”.
It is worth noting that within the framework of international cooperation between Uzbekistan and European countries, a good initiative was also taken in AMMC. In particular, the “AMMC-Partners” women's leadership club was established, the first meeting of the team was held in April, and the next meeting was held in June. It was attended by the Combine’s leaders and active women, representatives of foreign banks and businesses, leading women in finance and other fields, and experts.
The "AMMC-Partners" Women's Leadership Team, which brought together hundreds of active women, aims to ensure gender equality in our country and at the plant, increase women's activity, discuss women's personal and professional development opportunities, and provide women with legal, practical and psychological assistance.
During the event, information was also provided on the shortcomings identified in the Council's activities in the first half of this year, assessment of the activities of the chairmen of the Advisory Council of structural units, and the state of executive discipline. The shortcomings in the activities of the Advisory Council on Women and Gender Equality of a number of structural units were criticized.
In addition, a number of proposals were made by the chairmen of the advisory councils. It was emphasized that it is necessary to improve the activities of the chairmen of the councils, resolve conflicts between women in enterprises on the spot, and constantly pay attention to women's problems.
At the event, the new chairmen of the advisory councils of six structural divisions were introduced.
At the meeting, it was agreed that enterprises in the field will further improve the activities of the Advisory Councils on Women and Gender Equality through practical experience exchange, and the tasks to be implemented by the Council were also agreed.
