On April 28, many countries celebrate World Day for Safety and Health at Work. A seminar held on April 29 at the “Metallurg” Hall of Culture was dedicated to this date.

It was attended by the management and persons responsible for labor protection and safety of “Almalyk MMC” JSC, representatives of the State Mine Engineering Inspectorate, the Research Institute of Sanitation, Hygiene and Occupational Diseases under the Ministry of Health and others.

An exhibition of special clothing and personal protective equipment was organized especially for the seminar participants in the reception area of the “Metallurg” Hall of Culture. During the seminar, the head of the Occupational Health and Safety Department, Shukhrat Juraev, made a presentation entitled “Improving the state of occupational health and safety and digitalization of occupational health and safety processes at “Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex ” JSC”.

Deputy Head of the Almalyk Mine Engineering Inspection Zakhiriddin Berdikulov reported on “Prospects for the Application of Artificial Intelligence in the Field of Occupational Health and Industrial Safety.”

The following topics were also discussed: “The state of occupational diseases in the republic and principles of prevention” (Speaker: Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Director of the Research Institute of Sanitation, Hygiene and Occupational Diseases under the Ministry of Health Mukaddas Khamrakulova);

“Priority of measures for the prevention of occupational diseases at the enterprises of “Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex ” JSC” (Speakers: Chief Occupational Pathologist of the Ministry of Health, Professor Gulnara Agzamova and Chief Consultant of the Occupational Pathologist of the Ministry of Health, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor Sharifa Makhmudova);

The chief physician of the Medical and Sanitary Department of the Council of the Trade Union of Workers of “Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex ” JSC, Abdujabbor Tukhtabaev, gave a detailed “Analysis of general and occupational morbidity among workers of the Complex  structural divisions”. He also spoke about measures to prevent general and occupational diseases.

During the seminar, an awards ceremony was held, where employees of the structural divisions of AMMC who made a worthy contribution to the cause of labor safety were recognized.

 It should be added that the theoretical part of the seminar was continued by a walking tour, during which the participants of the event got acquainted with the implementation of the investment project “Development of the Yoshlik I deposit”, visiting the viewing platforms of the Kalmakyr and Yoshlik I mines, the copper concentrator-3 under construction, with the activities of the Council of the Trade Union of AMMC Workers and the conditions for training of highly qualified personnel in the engineering school of the Complex.
