Dear workers of the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex, veterans of production, citizens of Almalyk!

On Day of Remembrance and Honour, on behalf of the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex employees, let me wholeheartedly congratulate the dear veterans of war and labor and wish them good health!

You deserve deep respect for your heroism in the fight against fascism, for your selfless work on the home front.

We bow before your feat and deeply honor the memory of those who have not survived to nowadays.

More than a million and a half of our fellow citizens took part in World War II. During the battle actions more than 500 thousand of our compatriots died, about 133 thousand had gone missing, more than 60 thousand people returned with disabilities.

Having gained an independence, Uzbekistan chose its own path of development. Thanks to peace and tranquility, we have made tremendous economic, industrial and social advances. And we continue to move forward, basing strategic development and construction of the New Uzbekistan on the main principle - “the highest value is a person”.

The unity of the people was demonstrated by the recent Constitutional referendum, in which almost all residents of our city participated and supported the amendments to the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the new edition.

This is the result of economic and social reforms carried out by the head of our state, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, aimed at improving the living standards of the population, ensuring stability and economic development.

Each of us contributes to the strength of Uzbekistan through our honest and selfless work. In particular, our team is working to expand the production capacity of the country’s non-ferrous metals industry by accelerating the construction of the Yoshlik I open pit, copper concentrator No. 3 and projects to create a new metallurgical complex and concentrator No. 4, as well as a number of social projects, including the reconstruction of a polyclinic and a maternity complex in Almalyk.

The company supported the construction of the “Nuroniylar Maskani” recreation center for retirees in Nurafshan town, opened this year. In Almalyk, work is underway on landscaping, asphalt paving, housing construction, recreation parks, and repairs to schools and pre-school educational organizations.

Dear citizens of Almalyk, in our country the veterans of World War II and participants of the labor front are treated with great reverence and respect. This year, in connection with the Day of Remembrance and Honour, by decree of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, each war veteran received material assistance in the amount of 18 million UZ Soums.

Also according to the decision of the Complex management board the war veterans and participants of the labor front will be provided with material assistance, soldiers-internationalists and participant in the rectification of the consequences of the accident at the Chernobyl Atomic Electric Power Station will also not be left without attention as well as lonely labor veterans of AMMC in need of social protection.

Dear participants of war and labor front, veterans of labor!

Once again I address you with words of deep gratitude for your heroism and selfless work during the war and postwar years. I wish you, your families, children, and grandchildren good health, happiness, and prosperity!
