We sincerely congratulate you on your professional holiday – the Day of Geology Workers of the Republic of Uzbekistan!
On 26 December 2018, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed the law "On the establishment of the Day of Workers in the Sphere of Geology of the Republic of Uzbekistan". In accordance with the law, the Day of Geology Workers is celebrated annually in our country on the first Sunday of April.
Such attention to the geological industry on the part of the head of our state is not accidental. After all, no one knows the land of our Motherland like geologists. It is you, who walked thousands of kilometers, manually selected tons of rock, drilled hundreds of wells, discovering new deposits and laying the foundation for the future development of the country. Thanks to your selfless work, deposits of minerals, rare metals, building materials and groundwater have been discovered.
Geologists have made an invaluable contribution to the fact that today Uzbekistan occupies one of the leading places in the world in natural resources and continues to strengthen its position in the mining and processing industry. That is why today we pay tribute to those who are devoted to their noble cause – representatives of the geological industry who have chosen the honorable profession of geologist. Those who, through their work, contribute to the rational use of the richest natural resources of Uzbekistan, forming not only the mineral resource base of the country for the coming years, but also laying a solid foundation for its strategic development.
In the recent years, the geological service of Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex has been actively implementing important tasks. In particular, after conducting a feasibility study of exploration conditions for the “Kauldy” sites (Central, South and South-II), the gold ore reserves were significantly increased. At the Togap site base located 0.5-1 km north of the Qalmaqqir quarry, pilot industrial mining has already begun on the basis of a local project. In 2025, it is planned to mine 15 thousand tons of ore here.
The “Kuyikenzhasoy” deposit located 3.5–4 km southeast of the Qalmaqqir quarry, on the northern slopes of the Kuraminsky ridge, is also being actively developed. The annual production volume at this site will eventually amount to 50 thousand tons. The project for its development is currently being implemented in accelerated way.
In order to increase gold production volumes, the plant is building the Kauldy gold extraction plant with a processing capacity of 200 thousand tons of ore per year. The commissioning of the enterprise is scheduled to October of this year.
In addition, in 2025, it is planned to begin mining operations at the “Mezhdurechye” site of the “Kyzylolma” deposit located on the southern slopes of the Chatkal Range. The production capacity will be 120 thousand tons per year.
The launch of these production facilities will contribute to economic growth, the creation of new jobs and the further development of the country.
The Complex's geologists are actively implementing promising geological exploration projects. The introduction of modern geoinformation technologies, advanced training and education of specialized specialists have become priority areas of our work. For these purposes, close cooperation is also conducted with the University of Geological Sciences, and research activities are supported.
I am convinced that your professionalism and dedication will continue to contribute to strengthening the industrial potential of our country, the growth of the national economy and improving the quality of life of the population.
Once again, I congratulate you on your professional holiday! I wish you good health, happiness, well-being, new professional successes, warmth and comfort in your home!
