Congratulations on the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the Industrial Water Supply Department

10 April 2025, 8:3 1263

Dear employees of the industrial water supply system of JSC “Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Combine”, dear veterans!

Please accept my sincere congratulations on the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Industrial Water Supply Department!

Since ancient times, water has symbolized life, movement, and development. And today, your work – those who provide industrial water supply – plays a key role in maintaining the continuous operation of the enterprise, allowing it to grow and reach new production heights.

Thanks to your dedicated work, the Combine's process chain has been functioning smoothly for 70 years, ensuring the stable operation of all production units.

The Industrial Water Supply Department began its operation on 1 April 1955, when the industrial water supply workshop was created as part of the plant. Over the past decades, it has grown into a full-fledged department, which currently includes 8 production sites and 4 process shifts.

Today, the department employs 323 people – engineering and technical staff and workers, who are entrusted with the responsible task of providing the structural divisions of the AMMC with the necessary volumes of water round the clock.

More than 182 million cubic meters of water are supplied annually through a branched water pipework with a total length of 229 km. On average, about 520 thousand cubic meters are transferred per day, of which 310-315 thousand cubic meters are recycled water, and 140-150 thousand are industrial water.

The department has modern process equipment, pumping stations, transport and auxiliary units.

Today, the department’s team plays an important role not only in satisfying the current needs of the plant, but also in the implementation of strategic projects, such as the development of the Yoshlik I deposit. In particular, as part of the construction of the Copper Processing Plant-3, 39 wells have already been drilled in the area of the Korakhitoy-Akchasoy groundwater basin in the Akhangaron district. Each of the wells with a capacity of 320 cubic meters per hour provides up to 9,600 cubic meters of water per hour – about 40% of the needs of the new plant.

In addition, to fully cover water needs, exploration and drilling works are underway in Pskent district, where an additional 81 wells have already been drilled in the areas of the Saganak, Kuyi Saganak, Kultepa underground aquifers and contour zones.

It is worth noting that the water supply team also plays a key role in providing water to the plant's future facilities – Copper Processing Plants No. 4 and 5, as well as the new metallurgical complex.

Once again, I sincerely congratulate you – dedicated professionals – on this glorious date! The Industrial Water Supply Department has been and remains an integral part of the enterprise, the support of its stable operation and technological growth.

I wish you good health, family well-being and new labor successes for the benefit of our Motherland and in the name of further prosperity of the industry!
