Every year, millions of people worldwide require donated blood due to major surgeries, road accidents, childbirth, or various illnesses. In such situations, even a small amount of clean blood can be a lifesaving factor. For this reason, blood donation campaigns are receiving increasing attention in our country. Indeed, this initiative is a simple yet heroic act that anyone can take part in.

Recently, a campaign under the slogan “Donate Blood, Let Life Continue in the World” was organized through the cooperation of the Almalyk Medical Association and the Youth Union Council of “Almalyk MMC” JSC. The event was particularly significant for promoting a culture of blood donation and providing life-saving support to hundreds of patients.

The charitable event initiated by the Youth Union and Trade union of the “Almalyk Metallurgical Construction” Trust and the Automobile Transport Department, involved over 100 healthy employees aged 18 to 60, weighing more than 50 kg, and who had not undergone serious illness or surgery in the last six months.

It is worth noting that in recent years, as blood donation has become more widespread in Uzbekistan, the volume of blood collected has steadily increased: 122 tons in 2022, 134 tons in 2023, and 147 tons in 2022, 134 tons in 2023, and 147 tons in 2024. Scientific studies show that regular blood donation contributes to cardiovascular health, improves circulation, and accelerates the body’s renewal processes.

During this charitable campaign, donors contributed more than 40 liters of blood. Active young donors were also awarded educational, scientific, and popular books and journals by the AMMC Youth Union Council.
