On April 5, the traditional international race “International Tashkent Marathon 2026” took place in Tashkent as part of the Navruz celebrations.

The marathon started at the Humo Arena complex, after which the participants ran along the central streets of the city. The youth of the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex also took an active part in the 5 km race.

For information: the marathon has been held for the eighth year running and during this time has become one of the largest mass sporting events in the country. It unites not only professional athletes, but also thousands of amateurs who lead an active and healthy lifestyle.

This year, about 15,000 people from more than 50 countries took part in the marathon. The total prize fund was 300 million UZS.

The Tashkent International Marathon has the status of “World Athletics Label” (international certification status), which means the official recognition of the results achieved at the international level.

The competition was organized at a high level with the support of the Ministry of Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Athletics Federation of the country.
