Youth Day celebrated at AMMC

Today, the youth of New Uzbekistan are rightfully considered the main driving force behind the reforms being implemented in the country, its intellectual and strategic support. This is confirmed by the successes of talented young people at international Olympiads and in scientific and technical projects, as well as the outstanding achievements of domestic athletes who honorably represent the country on the world stage.

Thanks to their knowledge, professionalism and determination, they significantly contribute to the development of the state. Young people working in industry play a special role. By mastering modern technologies and implementing innovative approaches, young specialists achieve high production results. That is why Youth Day, celebrated annually on June 30, has become a symbol of recognition of the achievements of a talented, proactive, and hardworking generation.

To celebrate the occasion on July 2 a gala event was held at Oltin Olma Square in Almalyk, during which the most active and talented youth representatives of the Complex were recognized.

Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of “Almalyk MMC” JSC for Personnel and Social Issues Sadi Shermatov addressed the participants with a welcoming speech. He emphasized that today, Uzbekistan offers ample opportunities for young people to realize their potential, and the Complex places special emphasis on youth support. Having congratulated those gathered on the holiday, he wished them further professional success and new achievements.

The event honored young employees who had achieved outstanding results in production, as well as distinguished themselves in sports, science, culture, and the company’s social life. 54 young workers were awarded certificates of honor from the Complex, and another 32 people received valuable gifts.

Also, as part of the “Mentor and Trainee” tradition, an exhibition of fine art and a thematic quiz were organized, following which more than 40 young participants received fine literature books as gifts.

Particular attention was paid to young athletes – children of AMMC employees. Among those awarded were Otabek Tukhtamurodov, winner of the Asian Youth Freestyle Wrestling Championships held in Pattaya, Thailand, and son of the Karshibaevs’ family - the workers of the Complex, as well as Mirziyo Abdusattarov, silver medalist at the Asian Universal Combat Championships, and son of Urunkulovs’ family - the workers of the Complex. They were also presented with valuable commemorative gifts.

Ozoda Yunusova, a flotation operator in the grinding and flotation shop of the Copper Concentrator, winner of the Kelajak Bunyodkori medal, and a prize winner of the Yosh Kitobkhon and Yosh Kitobkhon Oila republican competitions, was also recognized for her high achievements. In addition, awards were received by youth representatives of the Industrial Railway Transport Department who won a video contest in support of the Uzbekistan national football team.

A festive atmosphere was created by showman and television presenter Dilshod Mirzamurodov, who organized entertaining contests with prizes for guests, as well as popular pop singer Mirjalol Nematov, whose performances gave the audience a thrilling experience. The concert program was also presented by artistic groups from the Metallurg Palace of Culture.

Participants were greatly interested in the interactive events prepared by AMMC youth: a karaoke contest with prizes, a book fair, a literary quiz, and chess and checkers tournaments on velomobiles, which made the event even more exciting and engaging.
