On January 30, a chess tournament was held as part of the "Yoshlar Cup" sports competition. Young employees of the combine, who had successfully completed qualifying rounds in their respective departments, competed at the chessboard.
The competition was held with the aim of raising the intellectual level of young people, popularizing chess, and selecting the strongest players for national tournaments. The tournament was held in doubles matches, using the Olympic format. The three participants with the best results were determined based on the results.
The tournament was won by Umid Orzukulov, the representative of the Central Repair and Mechanical Plant. Second place went to Doston Safarov, the representative of the Angren Mine Administration, and third place went to Sarvar Khaidarov, representing the Industrial Rail Transport Administration.
The winners were awarded valuable gifts and diplomas.
