Analytical note of "Almalyk mining and metallurgical Complex" JSC for the end January-September 2023

During the implementation of the most important priority areas of the socio-economic development program, the team of "Almalyk MMC" JSC, based on the results of January-September 2023, achieved the following production indicators:

- at current prices -103.1 percent.

Production of copper cathode 95.3%, including 99.2% from own raw materials, metallic zinc 85.4%, including 101.6% from own raw materials, sulfuric acid 91.6%, refined gold 100.1% and refined silver 101.0%.

During of January-September 2023, the export of products were completed by 100.4%.

In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PD-72 dated December 30, 2021 “On approval of the investment program of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2022 - 2026 and the introduction of new approaches and mechanisms for managing investment projects” and Appendix 3 to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 459 dated December 28, 2022, Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex JSC intends for the allocation of 1,106.7 million dollar investments for 2023 to increase the production capacity and processing of raw materials.

As of the end of January-September 2023, investments in the amount of 730.5 million dollars (105.3%) were absorbed, including:

at the expense of the enterprise’s own funds - 183.3 million dollars

foreign direct loans – 547.3 million dollars

In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 99 of January 24, 2022 "On measures to create an effective system for the development of production and expansion of industrial cooperation in the republic" and the order of the chairman of the board of Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex JSC No. 94 of January 31, 2022, in 2023 Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex JSC planned to implement 137 projects worth 332.6 billion UZS under the localization program.

Based on the results of January-September 2023, the indicator of localized products for 145 projects is 308.2 billion UZS or 115.6 percent compared to the forecast.

A set of organizational and technical measures has been developed to reduce the cost of production for 2023, within the framework of which the cost of production is planned to decrease to 377.5 billion soums or 3.2 percent.

Based on the results of January-September 2023, the expected result from the implementation of a set of measures to reduce production costs will be 274.0 billion UZS or 3.0 percent.

Measures are being taken at the plant to improve management, strengthen the financial and economic situation, and ensure the reduction of accounts receivable and creditworthiness payments.

As of October 1 , 2023 , the expected accounts receivable of the complex is 3313.7 billion UZS, accounts payable 2118.8 billion UZS.

There is no debt to the budget or salary.                                                            

According to the technical training program of workers, 5148 people were trained, including 1148 people outside production, 1736 people for retraining and mastering the second specialty, 1798 people for professional development and retraining of managers and specialists, including, 587 people were trained outside of production.

Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex JSC cooperates with 10 higher educational institutions of the Republic of Uzbekistan and "MISiS" University of Science and Technology and branches of the Russian Federation on the training of highly educated specialists.

At the present time, the total number of students is 189, of which 11 students are studying full-time and 178 students in correspondence and evening departments of Higher Educational Institutions.

During the period under review a total of 960 people were employed, including 400 college graduates, 302 graduates of higher educational institutions and 258 people without education.

In order to improve the execution discipline control system of high-ranking organizations on time, the executive department of Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex JSC established a service to control the execution of tasks of higher organizations, and the order of systematic and critical analysis of the state of executive discipline was established.

Throughout the year, during the study of the implementation of the Laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan, documents of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the implementation of government decisions on the ground, work is being carried out to introduce a reporting system and organize control over the execution of documents within the specified time limits. Based on the work plan of the complex, analytical reports are being prepared and reports are being drawn up.

Systematic work is being carried out to critically analyze the implementation of its decisions, identify shortcomings and develop specific measures to eliminate them.

In total, at the end of January-September 2023, 476 documents were received, including:

Documents and instructions of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan 113 - (2 decrees, 18 decisions, 1 Order, 11 statements, 81 instructions);

Documents and instructions of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan - 361 (6 decisions, 15 orders, 58 statements, instructions of the Prime Minister, his deputies and advisers - 177, instructions of the Secretariat - 105).
