Today, on June 27, the Metallurg Hall of Culture hosted an event dedicated to the Day of Press and Mass Media Workers of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The event was attended by the management of the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex, as well as the “heroes of the occasion” - representatives of the mass media of the complex and Almalyk city.

Chairman of the Board of Almalyk MMC JSC, Senator Abdulla Khursanov, wholeheartedly congratulated those gathered on their professional holiday, expressed his warm wishes, noted the important role in providing the population with prompt, impartial and reliable information, and specifically focused on the reforms carried out in our country in recent years to support mass media representatives. 

It is worth noting that owning to the support of the mass media, the information service of the complex took first place in the Openness Index 2023 among other joint-stock companies in our country. Among the republican departments and organizations, AMMC was awarded an honorable second place.

The activity of the head of the information service of Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex JSC among joint-stock companies and companies of the country was estimated at 86.3 points. Compared to 2022, the growth rate in this area has increased by 4.3 times.

And according to tradition, during the event, an award ceremony was held for employees of the AMMC information service and representatives of the city's mass media with certificates of honor and valuable gifts.
